My Grails Booksmarks project is going pretty well so far… after about 5 or 6 times of having to blow out and rebuild the project. The most difficult task for me was not Grails-related, but rather IDE-related. I had a heck of a time getting my Eclipse Grails set-up to work, until a co-worker pointed out my error — I hadn’t disabled the automatic Groovy class compiler, which is the default for the project properties on the Groovy plug-in.
I have been able to create and configure the basics on all the domain classes, controllers, and basic views. I’ve also successfully implemented user registration, login, and authentication. And all basic CRUD operations work.
So, Monday I will start learning more GORM basics and start setting up my table relationships.
