Yesterday I kicked-off Legacy Family Tree Webinar’s 2022 Mexico Research Series with my presentation titled “Mexican Catholic Parish Records, Part I: Baptisms, Confirmations & Burials.” This webinar is suitable for those brand new to Mexican genealogy. However, you should already know your ancestral hometowns. Seasoned Mexican genealogy researchers will walk away with new strategies to take a deeper dive into using these records.

This Webinar & Recording

Spanish colonial and Mexican Catholic parish registers are rich in genealogical information. This session will discuss the laws, customs, and significance of these particular Catholic records that essentially “bookend” the life of your ancestors; as well as where to find and how to analyze them.

  • Access: View the webinar recording on this page in the webinar library. The recording includes Closed Captioning and the ability to control playback speed.
  • Fee: The recording is available for FREE to anyone through January 28, 2022. Legacy Family Tree Webinars subscribers have continued access after that.
  • Handout: The accompanying syllabus is available to Legacy Family Tree Webinar subscribers.
