This digital, multimedia, timeline-based story chronicles the first chapter of the World War I U.S. Army service of my great-grandfather Patrick Flanagan (1980-1928). I still have three more chapters to go. I created this version of Patrick’s WWI story using the TimelineJS platform by Northwestern University’s Knight Labi, a platform I teach for my work as the Digital Scholarship Librarian at a university (see my free instruction guide).You can view this story via the embedded timeline below or with this direct link in a browser.
