The building that serves as the main branch of the New York Public Library — the Stephen A. Schwarzman Building — was officially dedicated 100 years ago today, on May 23, 1911.
I came across this wonderful little video on NYPL’s Tumblr today, profiling some of the fabulous collections and beautiful architecture of the library. All you library-types might have already seen this, but if not…enjoy!
NYPL didn’t make it on my list of tourist stops the one trip I’ve taken to New York City, but I definitely plan to spend some time there on my next visit.
