A look at some cool history mashups

Lookback Maps

I just came across this fabulous video from Jon Voss of Lookback Maps, highlighting some very cool library archive and museum mashups — professional productions, as well as home-grown ones.  I thought I’d share it for the benefit of those of us who didn’t get to attend his presentation at SXSW 2011.

Jon provides links to all of these great mashups on the Lookback Maps blog.

I am a huge fan of history-related mashups, and am preparing a presentation on this for October, so I will be blogging more on this topic.

If you’re a fan of these types of mashups, be sure to check out these incredible iPhone/iPad apps from Lookback Maps:

    1. Thanks. I’ve been asked to teach a workshop on this type of stuff at the California Council for the Promotion of History annual conference in Riverside, California in October.
